I Wish You Enough

With the holidays just around the corner, I wish you enough good weather to allow you to travel to visit family and friends, enough time to share your love and laughter with your loved ones, enough good food to be passed around the table, and enough rest and sleep to see through this busy time of year. For the holiday season and beyond, I simply wish you enough.

The Twelve Absurdities Of Christmas

Christmas, and the lead-up to Christmas, is actually the most absurd institution society has inflicted on the vast majority of the civilized world. When you consider all the sorts of stressful hoops you are required to jump through prior to the Big Day, required that is if you are spineless enough to cave in to what society requires, it’s a wonder the civilized world isn’t collectively a society of babbling idiots the day after. Still, most gleefully and willingly jump through the same stressful hoops the following year. Go figure.

Safety Wrap-Up for 2014

The presents are all opened and the delicious meals enjoyed. Now it’s time to look forward to a New Year’s celebration and 2015. Have you resolved to have a safe and prosperous new year? Here are a few ideas to help you wrap up 2014 safely, so you can look forward to a wonderful new year. Is Your Christmas Tree Crispy? If you have a fresh tree, no doubt it’s starting to get a little tired of being indoors. If you’re not ready to take it down just yet, run your hands along a few of the branches. If the tree feels dry or needles drop off, your lovely decor is now a fire hazard. Don’t take any chances! You should immediately remove the decorations and lights and set it outside for recycling.
