Christmas Magic Experienced Through English Literature
English literature provides entertainment for people of all ages, and Christmas time is an excellent holiday in which families can share excellent old classics as well as new stories. There’s no better way to open up one’s imagination than with an excellent story on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. People used to sit around the fireplace and tell stories about Santa Claus or about the Christmas spirits who visited Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (1843) by Charles Dickens. It was a time when people even made up their own stories stories. Sharing a good story, analyzing its meaning, and reacting to it as a group effort created bonds between people, connections that prevailed and that were passed down from one generation to the next. Christmas stories will brighten your holidays. Stories by great authors such as Charles Dickens, can help create bonds with friends and colleagues alike. Long live the art of storytelling at Christmas time!

Claiming ChristmasIt’s a shame that American society has traded the foundation of Christmas in order to not offend others by their beliefs. Other traditions stand firm for their beliefs and don’t water them down for our benefit. I’m currently not working so thankfully, don’t have to worry about it in the workplace this year. I am claiming Christmas and hope that the reader can give me this one day that brings me joy and accept the love in which it is intended.

My response is to remind them that we are in an age of information and it is not even possible to remember everything.
